One week after a shot was heard at a Springs apartment, police have arrested the man suspected of firing the weapon.
Gregory Barnes, 31, was arrested Thursday.
Barnes is accused of firing a rifle at a car that was driving away from the Shannon Glen Apartments on Murray. It happened in broad daylight just before noon on July 30.
"I seen [sic] this man running by the dumpsters firing gunshots...it shocked me, yes, it very much did, because I've never seen anything like this before in my life," Larry Davis, who lives at the complex, told 11 News after the shooting.
Detectives worked over the following days investigating the case, ultimately identifying Barnes as the suspect. Barnes is currently being held in the CJC on a $10,000 bond for the shooting. He's also being held without bond for previous offenses.
Two other people were taken into custody at the same time as Barnes on outstanding arrest warrants.
