As a group of men argued outside a downtown Springs nightclub, police say an unrelated man interjected himself into the argument and threatened a member of the group with a gun.

The suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Eddie Lightsey, took off after officers got on scene, but police say he was quickly located. He was reportedly riding in a vehicle driven by another man, identified as 26-year-old Zachary Boatright.

Police got permission to search the vehicle, and say they found a semi-automatic firearm inside. Lightsey was taken into custody on several charges, including felony menacing and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. Boatright was reportedly served and released for DUI.
