Authorities are searching for a shoplifting suspect considered to be "armed and dangerous."

Colorado Springs police say that on June 6, a woman shoplifted several items from the Advanced Auto Parts store on 3784 E. Pikes Peak. When an employee confronted her, the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the worker. She left the scene in a 2001 Honda Accord--but not before being captured on surveillance.

Police are hoping the photos will lead to her arrest.

The suspect was last seen in the area of Las Vegas and South Nevada, where she is believed to have been picked up by a 26-year-old white male. The man may be named Daniel, and was described as being 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds.

The suspect is described as a 22 or 23-year-old white woman, 5-foot-2 and 150 pounds, with thin blond hair in a ponytail. She was dressed in a black cotton jacket, black shirt, black Capri pants and flip-flops at the time of the alleged robbery. Police say she carried a large green purse.

The suspect may go by the name or nickname "Angel."

If you have any information on her whereabouts, call CSPD at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP right away.
