A woman has been airlifted from a rural road in Larimer County after a crash involving a school bus.
The crash happened Friday morning at the intersection of Larimer County Roads 82 and 15 near Wellington, Colo.
Based on images from the scene, the school bus appears to have somehow landed on top of the white car, smashing the front and back seats. The driver of the car survived and has been airlifted to an area hospital. She reportedly has serious injuries.
Nine people, including the driver, were on the school bus, which was en route to Wellington Middle School and Rice Elementary in Wellington when the crash happened. Three children were injured.
It's unknown at this time what caused the crash.
