Cause of Hotel Fire Under Investigation

Guests at the Clarion Hotel in Colorado Springs have been allowed back inside after being evacuated Tuesday morning due to a fire.

The cause of a fire at the Clarion Hotel in Colorado Springs is under investigation.

The fire was reported at 9 a.m. at the hotel's 314 W. Bijou location. The fire department says they had the fire under control by 9:30 a.m.

The sprinkler system went off and guests were evacuated as crews responded.

When our crew arrived at the hotel, they reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the building and at least six fire trucks surrounding the building, lights flashing. Guests milled around the building, watching firefighters go to work.

Firefighters stayed at the scene to put out hot spots. They have not specified which part of the building was impacted.
