A fire at a home just west of downtown Colorado Springs has been put out.
Fire crews responded to a structure fire at a home in the 300 block of Chestnut early Monday morning. Fire fighters tell 11 News a family was inside the home when they smelled smoke. When fire crews arrived on scene the fire was smoldering at the back corner of the home.
The family made it out safely.
Investigators are now trying to determine the cause of the fire.
