Strangers tried to lure two young boys late Thursday afternoon in Florence.

It happened in the 300 block of West 3rd Street, near Fremont Middle School

Two people drove up to the boys and asked if they wanted a ride. They even asked if the boys wanted to see a puppy in the car.

Police have told us before that's a classic ploy get kids into a car. The boys knew what to do and they said "no" and went home.

The car is a white 4-door, possibly a Toyota Corolla. It has a tinted back window. The driver is a blond woman in her 20's. The passenger is a man in his 20's with dark hair.

Florence police are treating this as an active luring case. If you can help them find those suspects, call 719-784-3411.
