Voters will now decide if they're willing to pay for stormwater projects.

According to the Pikes Peak Regional Stormwater Task Force, the projects would protect the region from future flooding disasters--but would require a monthly fee from families living in the Fountain Creek watershed.

Last month, El Paso County commissioners voted in favor of the $7.70 per month fee, but gave their final approval for the ballot measure Tuesday. Now, the decision will be up to voters in November.

If it passes, Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Fountain and Green Mountain Falls would all be included in the plan.
