Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)
Updated: 06/18/2013 - We did a quick helicopter tour of the Black Forest burn area. Someone asked why the video looks shaky.
For the second time in a week, a convenience store was robbed by a man with an hammer.
Police say the man entered the Diamond Shamrock store at 5670 Palmer Park Boulevard shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday armed with a hammer. After demanding money, the robber got away with cash and cigarettes. Police set up a perimeter around the area and used K-9 officers to help track the man with no success.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, standing 6 feet tall and wearing dark clothing. The suspect wore a ski mask, black shoes and gloves.
It was almost identical to a robbery at that very same location exactly one week ago, when a similar looking man strolled into the store carrying a hammer and demanded money from the clerk.
If you know anything about either crime, call police at 719-444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP.
