Police say store employees confronted a shoplifter and were able to get some of the stolen items back before he fled the scene.

The robbery happened early Friday morning at the Walgreens on 1013 Bonforte Blvd. That's near Highway 50 in Pueblo.

Police say around 4:30 a.m. the suspect walked in and took several items. When he tried to leave, he was stopped by employees. During the confrontation, authorities say he reached into his waistband and acted as if he was grabbing a weapon. He reportedly threatened to shoot.

The suspect then left in a small dark blue, 4-door vehicle with Colorado plates. He is described as a Hispanic man, 5-foot-3 and around 150 pounds, wearing all black with a baseball cap.
