Overnight a disturbance passes through parts of S Colorado... this will bring a push of moisture falling as rain in the Plains with a few late night/early morning showers possible in Pueblo. For the Palmer Divide, N & W El Paso Co. and Teller Co. it will fall as snow... bringing a few additional inches of accumulation in mainly between 1am and 6am, lingering into the mid morning. Police say store employees confronted a shoplifter and were able to get some of the stolen items back before he fled the scene.
The robbery happened early Friday morning at the Walgreens on 1013 Bonforte Blvd. That's near Highway 50 in Pueblo.
Police say around 4:30 a.m. the suspect walked in and took several items. When he tried to leave, he was stopped by employees. During the confrontation, authorities say he reached into his waistband and acted as if he was grabbing a weapon. He reportedly threatened to shoot.
The suspect then left in a small dark blue, 4-door vehicle with Colorado plates. He is described as a Hispanic man, 5-foot-3 and around 150 pounds, wearing all black with a baseball cap.
