Stolen Weapons, $23K Worth Of Marijuana Uncovered At Home

Rifles stolen last month from a Springs Walmart, along with four stolen knives and $23,000 worth of marijuana were seized from a home Friday morning. One man was arrested.

According to police, the rifles were stolen out of the gun case at the Walmart on Space Center Drive, near Powers and Galley, on September 29.

The investigation ultimately led police to a home on the 2300 block of Sonoma Drive, near Hancock and Delta, Friday morning. Police executed a search warrant and searched the home, uncovering the stolen weapons and stumbling across indications of a marijuana grow. Daniel Coates was arrested for third-degree burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Police say additional charges are pending.

The search warrant execution drew the attention of neighbors in the area, who noted a lot of police activity around the home late Friday morning.
