A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect at NOON and last through MIDNIGHT from most of Southern Colorado. Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain once again. Burn scars and areas that saw heavy rain yesterday will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
One person is dead while another is recovering in the hospital after a stabbing early Thursday morning.
Both have been identified as men; police are not releasing their relationship at this time.
The stabbing was reported at a home on the 4600 block of Mallow Road, south of the UCCS campus. Officers were sent there on reports of a disturbance, and found one deceased man inside upon arrival. The men reportedly got into a fight, but police are not releasing any details beyond that.
A suspect has been detained.
