Right now Colorado Springs police officers are in the neighborhood of Constitution and North Circle using canines to search for a burglary suspect who reportedly stabbed a homeowner in the side.
Police tell us the incident happened at 1714 Grant Avenue around 12:39 p.m.
We're told the homeowner, a 27-year-old man, came home from a store and saw the suspect inside. He confronted the suspect. That's when he says the suspect grabbed a tool, possibly something like an exacto knife, and stabbed him in the side. We're told the homeowner was not seriously injured.
The alleged burglar is described as a white man in his late 20s with a scruffy beard. He was wearing a dark hoody and blue jeans.
