Southern Colorado Sees Hail Thursday

Parts of southern Colorado saw hail Thursday afternoon, wreaking havoc on traffic along I-25 north of Colorado Springs. A tornado is reported to have touched down in the eastern part of the state.

Parts of southern Colorado saw hail Thursday afternoon, wreaking havoc on traffic along I-25 north of Colorado Springs.

11 News viewers reported hail in areas around Briargate and Pine Creek.

In Lincoln County, a tornado touched down about five miles south of Hugo. The area is southeast of Limon.

The sheriff's office says the tornado was a weak "rope tornado" and touched down in a field. It was on the ground for approximately two minutes. No injuries or damage were reported.
