Locally heavy rain will remain possible overnight, with any showers and storms. Areas likely to see additional heavy rain will likely be east of I-25 and along HWY 50 from Canon City eastward. Another group of Fort Carson soldiers is expected to return home Thursday evening.
A homecoming ceremony for 80 soldiers with the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division is expected to take place at 7:40 p.m. at the special events center on post.
Fort Carson says this in the final group in the brigade to return. A special ceremony will take place to mark the completion of the return of approximately 2,500 soldiers in the brigade.
The 2nd ABCT was deployed in Kuwait. They partnered with the Kuwaiti armed forces in security operations, exercises and training.
