A homecoming ceremony for approximately 40 Fort Carson Soldiers with the 984th Military Police Company, 759th Military Police Battalion, was held at the Special Events Center on Saturday.

The 984th Military Police Company deployed the Soldiers to Afghanistan in August 2013 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, providing support to Regional Command-South throughout a nine-month deployment.

During the deployment, Soldiers from the 984th Military Police Company provided law enforcement and force protection assets to the International Military Police Provost Marshal’s Office at Kandahar Airfield.

The company provided law enforcement patrols, military police and traffic investigations, force protection, customs clearance inspections, and crime and threat assessment analysis to the regional commander.

Those we talked to were very excited to be home in time to celebrate Mother’s day.
