A fire started by a lightning strike near Phantom Canyon in Fremont County has been contained.
The Bureau of Land Management responded to the fire after smoke was spotted Saturday. One engine, a specialized 10 person attack crew and air support worked quickly to attack the fire.
At first firefighters thought the fire was about 1/4 acre with a moderate chance of spreading, but later said it was about 1/10 of an acre. The fire was contained Sunday.
A spokesman tells 11 News that he does not expect the site to be a problem in the future.
