Gunshots broke through the quiet of the night in multiple locations early Monday, alarming residents and keeping police jumping as call after call came in.
Police tell 11 News they got calls all night about gunshots in several Springs locations.
The first calls began coming in just after 1 a.m. regarding shots fired near I-25 and South Nevada.
Shortly before 2 a.m., police were called to the 2400 block of S. Academy, where shots had been heard at the Casa Grande Bar. Once on scene, a witness told police a vehicle had smashed through a fence bordering the bar as it sped away from the scene. The witness reported hearing several gunshots before the vehicle left the area.
At 2:30 a.m., not far from the bar, residents living on the southeast side of the Springs began reporting gunshots near Jet Wing Drive and Jet Wing Place.
No injuries were reported in any of these incidents, and police do not believe they were related.
Officers have struggled to locate any bullet casings, and say there is the possibility that fireworks could have been confused with gunshots in some of the cases. They continue to investigate.
