Gunshots and a car chase rattled a quiet residential neighborhood in Security-Widefield Sunday morning.
El Paso County deputies are still trying to piece together what happened after losing the potential suspect vehicle.
According to the sheriff's office, the initial call came in at midnight after shots were heard on the 800 block of Hubbell Drive. When authorities got there, they located a SUV that was suspected of being involved; after attempted to chase it, deputies lost sight of it before they could get a license plate.
The sheriff's office says that initial reports indicated that the situation was domestic, but right now detectives are still investigating.
