The El Paso County Coroner's Office has ruled the shooting death of a Springs teen a homicide, but police say no charges will be filed related to the death.
Officers were called to the Cedarcreek Apartments on 1020 S. Chelton Wednesday on reports of shots fired at the complex. Officers found a teen with a gunshot wound, and say two more teens later showed up at a local hospital, having also been shot.
The first man, identified as 19-year-old Jacob Ramirez, later died from his injuries. The others who were shot, 18-year-old Arianna Huitron and 18-year-old Joshua Davis, both sustained non-life threatening injuries. Police say they were arrested Thursday for aggravated robbery related to the incident.
According to police, the district attorney's office reviewed the case and determined no charges would be filed in Ramirez's death.
