Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)
Updated: 06/18/2013 - We did a quick helicopter tour of the Black Forest burn area. Someone asked why the video looks shaky.
A domestic violence call escalated even further after the suspect tried to run.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, the suspect bolted from the scene as soon as he saw authorities arriving at his home on Easy Street around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Authorities immediately shut down surrounding streets and started looking for the suspect, who they believed was armed. The search forced three area school--Venetucci Elementary, Talbott Elementary and Watson Junior High--to go on secured perimeter status briefly.
The suspect was found in the area of Security Boulevard and Crawford just before 9 a.m. He turned himself in without incident.
His name has not been released at this time.
