Sheriff: Shooter Had Five Possible Targets


Arapahoe High School shooter planned to attack at least 5 different areas of the school Friday, according to a news release from Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson.

Robinson said Karl Pierson wrote "Alea iacta est" --latin for "The die has been cast" - on his arm. He also reportedly wrote 5 other letters/numbers on his arms, corresponding with the library and 4 classrooms.

Investigators say Pierson walked into the school armed with a 12 gauge shotgun, two bandoliers full ammunition around his chest and waist, and a backpack with three Molotov cocktails and a machete.

He reportedly fired five shots. The second hit Claire Davis,17 , leaving her in critical condition.
