Locally heavy rain and snow will impact Southern Colorado through Friday afternoon and early evening. Heaviest snow will favor the mountains, Teller County, and El Paso County. This will lead to difficult travel conditions by Friday morning. Heavy snow will also occur in the higher terrain to the southwest of Pueblo. The storm will wind down later Friday evening. Colorado Springs police have released the address of a sex violent predator now living in the area.
The Police Department says Daniel Murphy, 38, has been released from the DOC and will be under parole supervision in Colorado Springs. Murphy's new address is 3033 E. Platte. Ave. #104.
Police say Murphy was convicted of first-degree sex abuse in Suffolk County, New York 13 years ago. He's also been convicted of harassment, forcible touching, and failure to register as a sex offender in both New York and Colorado.
Murphy is described as a white male, 5-foot-5 and 185 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is one of 13 sexually violent predators registered with CSPD living in the Springs.
