A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
A 77 year-old Colorado Springs man will face a judge Tuesday on charges that he sexually assaulted two girls.
Emmet Larson was arrested earlier this month on charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. The victims are 10 years old.
In court today, prosecutors are expected to convince a judge that there is enough evidence to take the case to trial.
According to arrest documents obtained by 11 News, one of the victims told police that she was touched inappropriately by Larson in three separate incidents between December 2011 and February 2012.
Detectives say that Larsen admitted to touching the girls, but that it was not intentional. According to the arrest documents, Larsen said he was sorry "he got the girls into this situation," and that he was sorry he touched them inappropriately.
