A funny guy, a loving family man, is how Martina Madrid describes her late husband.
Michael Madrid, 23, was killed in a fatal rollover Sunday night.
"He was funny, a jokester...did everything he could for his family," a grief-stricken Martina Madrid told 11 News.
Martina's voice cracked as she spoke of the 5-month-old daughter Michael left behind.
Michael was driving on Powers just before 7:30 p.m. when he rolled his vehicle just south of Platte, the force of impact partially ejecting him from the car. Police say he wasn't wearing a seat belt, and died at the scene.
At this time, police believe speeding was the primary factor in the crash.
The family tells 11 News Michael didn't have life insurance so they set up a memorial fund at Wells Fargo.
The cost of the funeral should be around seven to eight thousand dollars.
If you would like to make a donation, just go to any Wells Fargo and ask for the Michael Madrid Memorial Fund.
