El Paso County Sheriff's investigators confirmed a second suspect is under arrest connected to the death of a man in Security-Widefield area.
Brian Springsted, 32, was arrested Tuesday night.
According to a statement from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, members of the SWAT team tried to arrest Springsted at his home in the 100 block of Ely Street in Widefield Tuesday night, but he was not there. He was later found by detectives and taken into custody near the Fountain Valley Shops at Highway 85 and Main Street.
Investigators believe Springsted is connected to the death of Daniel Baird, who was shot May 3 inside a home in the Security-Widefield area.
Another man, Michael Malory, has also been arrested in connection to the death investigation.
Springsted and Malory are behind bars at the Criminal Justice Center for first-degree murder.
