A quick-thinking little girl ran for help when her family was in danger.
The 9-year-old was at home with her parents and siblings Thursday night when two armed men barged in. They pointed their guns at her parents and demanded money.
The girl immediately ran from her house and alerted a neighbor that her family was being held at gunpoint. The neighbor called police.
By the time officers arrived at the home on Breeze Court, located near Rangewood and Vickers, the suspects had taken off. A K-9 unit was brought to the northeast Springs neighborhood, but couldn't locate them.
The suspects are described as stocky black males, dressed in all black and wearing masks. Police say they are fairly certain there are other witnesses in this case, and ask that anyone in the area Thursday night that might have seen anything contact the Colorado Springs Police Department immediately.
You can also call Crime Stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous. That number is 634-STOP.
