A sexually violent predator has been released into the community, the Colorado Springs Police Department announced Monday.
Jerrell Jamil Evans was previously arrested in March of last year for parole violation. He was originally convicted in 2001 for attempted second-degree sexual assault. His criminal history also includes felony menacing, felony escape, and attempted possession of a controlled substance.
Evans, 30, will be residing at 3033 East Platte Avenue, apartment 302. He is one of 13 registered SVPs living in Colorado Springs.
