Wednesday night, police arrested a man who reportedly robbed a popular store. They say he's also linked to other robberies around Colorado Springs.

Only 11 News has the surveillance picture and video of the suspect, who Colorado Springs investigators have identified as 26-year-old Jason Eddleman.

Surveillance video from the EntertainMart store on Academy near Platte shows two men walking casually into the store. Police say Eddleman, seen wearing a Broncos hat, robbed the store armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

Investigators say he demanded a smartphone from the store clerk. When the clerk handed it to him, Eddleman demanded two more.

11 News talked to the store’s loss and prevention manager Andrya Patsky about the crime, just a few hours before the suspect was arrested.

"We're just hoping it can show people, you know, you can't go around doing stuff like this because they will get caught. Hopefully we have no other incident like this," Patsky said.

Patsky also said this is the first time something like this has happened at this store. She's just glad no one was hurt.

Robbery detectives told us the suspect's crime spree started on Monday. They say he reportedly hit five local businesses on the southeast side of the Springs over the past few days, starting with Burger King on South Academy Monday evening. The last place police say Eddleman robbed before his arrest was a 7-Eleven on North Murray early Wednesday morning.

In between, police say Eddleman robbed a Carl's Junior, a 7-Eleven on South Hancock and the EntertainMart.

Investigators were working on something unrelated Wednesday when they spotted the stolen getaway van used in several of the robberies. They waited and arrested the driver when he got into the minivan with a warrant they obtained earlier in the afternoon.

CJC records show Eddleman is being held on a $500,000 bond.

Police tell me they are still trying to identify the suspect seen with Jason Eddleman. We’re told he was the getaway driver in at least one of the robberies. They have a few leads, but could use help in tracking him down.

That second suspect was described a Hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, possibly with a ponytail or long tail in the back of his hair. He was reportedly wearing a white scarf, gray hooded jacket, black shirt, blue jeans and black and white colored basketball shoes.

If you have any information about that man, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
