It was a frightening moment for residents on one Colorado Springs street after a pipe burst, causing a section of the road roughly the size of a car to collapse Sunday morning.
Neighbors told 11 News they heard a loud noise and saw the sink hole open up right in front of their homes.
Monday, the hole has been patched up and the water main repaired on Purdue Street, located near Bijou and Platte. The street still needs to be repaved.
