The crowd was bigger than expected, forcing Rick Santorum to change venues before his scheduled event.
The Republican candidate appeared with Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family founder, and talked about issues like abortion, stem cell research and contraceptives.
Santorum also talked about what changes he would make on his first day as president if he is elected, "I will not sign any bill that allows for any funding for abortions with any federal tax payer dollars," he said.
Supporters said he stands out from the other Republican candidates, "He's the right guy at the right time," said Amy Nienaber. "When you look at the other candidates, the whole GOP and the general election, I think one of the biggest things we're fighting for is the values, and what our country is going to stand for," she said.
The Colorado Republican Caucus is Feb. 7.
