Snow showers continue this evening creating slick road conditions across southern Colorado. Overnight the N Pikes Peak Region sees a second push of moisture and locally heavy snowfall will once again be possible. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for far northern El Paso County where ~4" are possible by Tuesday morning. Also ahead, a High Wind Warning for much of southeast Colorado from 4-11am Tuesday morning as wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph. A student driver for a service that gives safe rides home for Colorado State University students has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence while on duty.
Student Karl La Borde apologized Tuesday for smoking marijuana.
The Rocky Mountain Collegian reports (http://bit.ly/VAuV1z ) campus police arrested the volunteer RamRide driver around 2 a.m. Friday.
A representative for the Larimer County district attorney's office says the student faces charges of speeding, driving under the influence, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
RamRide is provided through the Associated Students of CSU. The group's chief of staff, Robert Duran, says only the driver and another volunteer were in the car at the time of the arrest.
