Runners are filling the streets of downtown Colorado Springs Sunday morning, forcing the closure of several streets.
The Super Half Marathon and 5K will begin at 10 a.m. on the 100 block of E. Colorado Ave, though downtown roads began closing as early as 7:30 a.m.
The route will take runners west to Antler's Place, down to Sierra Madre, then north into Monument Valley Park, where runners will hit the Pikes Peak Greenway in a northward direction until reaching the Costco's on North Nevada. Runners will then turn around and backtrack, ending on the Greenway trail just south of the Bijou Street Bridge. The route is a familiar one for those who run with the Jack Quinn Running Club.
Colorado, Tejon and Sierra Madre will have limited access until the race is over.
