Raccoon Knocks Out Power For Thousands In Woodland Park

A raccoon caused a mess in Woodland Park after it got itself into a transformer and knocked out power for much of the town.

Residents first alerted 11 News to the power outage around 11 p.m. Wednesday. People on all side of town reported a blackout.

The outage took about an hour to restore. Unfortunately for the raccoon, all didn't as well--police told 11 News the critter was injured after getting on the transformer.
