Police identified Thursday a woman suspected of playing a part in an armed robbery at a Kohl's in Pueblo.
Police think Adriane Rino was with a man who pulled a gun on a store worker and customers to help Rino escape the store with stolen merchandise.
On December 12, police reported the man struck up a conversation with the loss prevention officer while the officer watched a woman who was thought to be shoplifting. Police say at one point, the male suspect even asked the loss prevention officer for a cigarette.
Once the woman was seen leaving the store at 5627 North Elizabeth without paying for several items, police say the officer tried to stop her. The man allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the officer and aimed it at customers approaching the store. While pointing the gun, both he and who police believe is Adriane Rico, began walking away.
Police say the loss prevention officer noticed that the suspects were not getting into a car, and he started following them. After the suspects pulled a gun on him a second time, he stopped following them.
Most of the shoplifted items were dropped as the two left the store, but police believe some jewelry was taken.
Rino is an 36-year-old Hispanic female, approximately 5’ 2” tall, 145 lbs., brown hair, and brown eyes.
Police have described the male suspect as Italian with short dark hair. He is reportedly about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and muscular, weighing about 200-220 pounds. He was wearing a large, gray down jacket.
