Pueblo police say a man who was found dead in a ditch Tuesday morning died of an apparent gunshot wound. Police are calling his death a homicide.
The young man has been identified as Mario Gendoes, 18. His body was found near a scrap metal yard on the 600 block of S. Portland after Pueblo police responded to a call about an unconscious man. The area is at the intersection with Damson Street.
A spokesperson with the Pueblo Police Department says officers received a call about the body around 7:30 a.m.
