An autopsy is expected to be performed Tuesday, to shed light into what caused the death of a 47-year-old Pueblo man.
The deceased was found dead on the floor of a home on the 1500 block of E. Route late Sunday night. Family members told Pueblo police that when they first saw him, they thought he was sleeping or possibly drunk. When relatives checked on him later, they realized he wasn't breathing.
Pueblo police are calling the death suspicious.
Police said the man was dead before first responders got to the house. Following the initial investigation police believe the man may have been in a fight at Sharkey’s bar earlier Sunday afternoon.
Detectives have reportedly confirmed a person of interest in the death investigation. No arrests have been reported.
We'll report the autopsy results once they are released.
