Pueblo Crime Stoppers is asking for assistance in locating an identity theft suspect.

They say that thieves broke into a car parked in the 3300 block of Gateway Drive and stole a purse, containing checks and credit cards, in the early morning hours of March 2. The suspect then forged at least 10 checks and used the stolen debit card soon after.

A surveillance camera captured photos of the suspect using one of the forged checks at a Loaf N' Jug store on March 3.

The suspect is described as a 20-25 year old white female, 5'6" tall and weighing 140 lbs. with red or light brown hair and wearing black reading glasses.

If you have any information on this person you are urged to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP (7867).
