Weed burning got out of hand for one man Tuesday after the fire spread to two structures on his property.
The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says the fire burned a detached garage and a shed, causing at least $75,000 worth of damage. That total does not include two cars in the man's garage that sustained substantial damage in the fire.
The fire was contained to the man's property, and did not spread to his home or any neighboring houses.
Firefighters were called to the fire on 27th and Gale, which is east of Pueblo, around 10:30 a.m. Crews were able to quickly get it under control and had it out within an hour.
Neighbors reported hearing the sound of explosions coming from the property during the fire. The Sheriff's Office says that sound was propane tanks rupturing during the fire.
The Sheriff's Office says the man will not face any charges for burning weeds on his property, as there were no fire restrictions Tuesday.
