Program To Benefit Wildfire Victims, Local Businesses

A new discount card being offered to victims of the Black Forest fire aims to help victims as they recover, as well as boost local business.

The card is being offered to resident living in the following zip codes: 80908, 80106, 80132, and 80831

Black Forest Together says more than 72 business have already pledged to participate in the program for one year. Other businesses continue to join.

Card holders will receive discounts on items and services to rebuild and repair homes and buildings, as well as other things like sporting goods and meals.

Black Forest Together says the program benefits both community members and businesses in the area.

Distribution of the cards will start December 18 at 9:00 a.m. at the Black Forest Together Resource Center, located at 11445 Teachout Road (Fire Station One).

Recipients will have to fill out an application form and provide proof of residence in the eligible area.

A list of participating businesses will be available at the Black Forest Together website starting December 18.
