Prescription Drug Take Back Day On Saturday

By  |

Needing to get rid of those half-empty bottles of medication leftover from last year's back injury? Here's your chance.

Saturday, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in conjunction with state and local law enforcement is holding a prescription drug take-back.

Across the state, anyone with unneeded prescription drugs can hand them over to law enforcement so the drugs can be destroyed.

In Colorado Springs, tablets, capsules and all other solid dosage units can be taken to the following locations:

POLICE OPERATIONS CENTER
705 S. NEVADA AVE.

STETSON HILLS
4110 TUTT BLVD.

SECURITY FIRE STATION #1
400 SECURITY BLVD.

MEMORIAL HOSPITAL NORTH
4050 BRIARGATE PKWY

Needles and sharps, thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy/radioactive substances, pressurized canisters and illicit drugs will not be accepted.

The event runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
