Because of high fire danger, a prescribed burn by the state of Colorado is now cancelled.
It was set to take place today, at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge east of Denver, near Commerce City.
Fire officials say the weather, coupled with dry conditions, are making it too dangerous to burn along the front range.
