Power Quickly Restored After Outage On Frigid Night

Utility crews were out in the frigid cold last night, working to restore power to thousands of customers.

The outage affected 4400 customers on the northeast side of Colorado Springs in the area of Austin Bluffs, Barnes and Powers.

The utility company says problems with a transformer at one of the sub stations caused the outage, which happened late Saturday night.

Springs Utilities says it had power restored 33 minutes after the outage was reported.
