Hundreds of customers have had their power restored after a hit-and-run involving a power pole in Pueblo Tuesday night.
Sixteen customers are still without power as of 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, but Black Hills Energy spokesman Wes Ashton says he expects those customers to have power restored "very soon."
The accident happened in the area of Vinewood and Pueblo Boulevard just after 10 p.m. Tuesday. Police say a person driving a gold-colored 2006 Chevy truck crashed into a power pole, then took off. He or she left the truck at the scene.
At the height of the outage, Ashton says 374 customers were without power. Most had their power restored by midnight.
If you have any information on the driver's whereabouts, you are asked to call police.
