Police have shot and wounded a man suspected of shooting at officers making traffic stops in Denver and Westminster this week.
Aurora police say 33-year-old Larry Gomez is in custody after a chase Friday night.
The chase began after Denver officers watching a home spotted Gomez and tried to pull him over, but Gomez allegedly sped off. The chase ended with a crash in Aurora, where Gomez was shot while trying to run away. Police say one Denver officer has minor injuries.
Earlier Friday, police in Aurora spotted a car believed to have been that of the driver who shot at a Westminster officer early Wednesday and a Denver officer early Tuesday. The car was seized by police.
