Police seek suspect in attempted abduction

DENVER (AP) - Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a person who tried to abduct a 21-year-old woman in Castle Rock.

Police spokeswoman KerriAnne Mukhopadhyay says the woman was putting her baby in the back seat of her car at the Pines Apartment Complex on Friday morning when she was attacked from behind. The Denver Post reports the woman braced herself, screamed and punched her attacker in the face.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who is 5-foot-5 and weighs about 150 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and light-colored blue jeans with grass stains on the knees.
