Police are investigating reports of a possible sex assault after a woman said she was attacked by two men while running on a popular Springs trail.

The woman told police she was running in Monument Valley Park near the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail Monday night when she was assaulted. She said she was treated at a local hospital.

The woman said one of the suspects was a 5-foot-7 mixed-race male, bald with a soul patch. She told police he had a distinct "snaggle tooth" protruding from his mouth.

According to the woman, the second suspect was a 6-foot-1 white male with long, dirty blond hair. He was reportedly wearing a hoodie.

The incident remains under investigation.
