Police are telling 11 News that the standoff is over.
They were asking everyone to avoid the area of Fountain and Academy in Colorado Springs earlier today.
They had surrounded an extended-day hotel, as they negotiated with someone inside.
They arrived on scene at around 6:30am.
The person inside the room is now reportedly just "venting."
11 News has learned the suspect has no criminal charges against him, including in the case of this standoff. So that's why police are retreating.
