Evidence left in a stolen car may lead police to the driver.
Springs police say an officer tried to pull over a vehicle because it had expired plates, but the driver wouldn't stop.
A short chase ended when the driver ran a red light.
Police found the vehicle abandoned a short time later. It was identified as stolen.
Police are looking for the driver using evidence found in the vehicle. Police did not say what that evidence is.
The incident happened on the 2500 block of North Chelton Road at 3:52 a.m. Saturday.
