Monument police are investigating an armed robbery that happened late Tuesday night at the Walgreens on Highway 105.
Investigators say just before 10 p.m. a white male entered the Walgreens store located at 265 Hwy 105 in Monument.
Upon entering the store the suspect approached a cash register and, while holding a handgun, demanded that the clerk behind the register give him the money from the register. Once given the money, the suspect left the store. No one was hurt during the incident.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall and 160-185 lbs, with sandy brown hair and acne on his forehead. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie with hood pulled up and the word "Colorado" printed in yellow on the front, and carrying a black backpack. His face was concealed by a red bandanna.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Monument Police Department at (719) 481-3253.
